Employment opportunities at Kalwood farms include sorting and picking fruit as well as lot of other general orchard labor. During the winter we will do some pruning and getting ready for our 2012 season for which we will start hiring pickers and sorters mid Feburary.  Anyone with previous Cherry Experience or has previously worked at Kalwood Farms will be given preference in hiring and living accomodations.  If you are totally new to cherries and you apply late in the season you must be willing to start work at our sorting and packing facility.  This is where you will quickly learn the importance of only putting the best fruit into your tote and also the importance of any job you do on our farm.  It's also a fantastic hourly paid wage job that we can offer you if you try your skills on the ladder and cherry picking is just not for you.   That means you can still stay in our free camp on the beach and make good money guaranteed every day!   Our cherry varieties are harvested from Mid July until late August.

You must be Canadian or have a valid work permit to work on our farm. We aim to produce among the best cherries on the market across the globe. Our team is expected to work to this high standard. People under 19 will not generally be permitted in camp.
